Episode 326: The One Where We Draw Back The Curtain

March 16, 2017

It looks as though there could be some interesting times in the league ahead.  There’s interesting times ahead in Europe, although there’s something about fixture congestion.  Also, it seems somebody needs their morning coffee to function properly.  Plus, you’re about to find out about the results of the “dark arts” of post-production.  (Hint: it’s about 42 minutes in)

Week 24 results of the Turkish Super League are reviewed.  It looks as though Adanaspor and, perhaps, Gaziantepspor might be done.  Kayserispor decided to crash the party against Besiktas.  Fenerbahce produced a comeback against Alanyaspor, although that might be an overstatement.  Galatasaray had another last gasp winner.  Istanbul Basaksehir now is close distance.  Trabzonspor continue their run since the beginning of the calendar year.  The week 25 schedule gets the rundown.  Trabzonspor will look to keep the good times rolling, but Galatasaray heads into town.  Also, considering the rumors regarding his coaching status, what state of mind will Konyaspor coach Aykut Kocaman be in?

The Europa League round of 16 gets discussed.  Besiktas beats up on Olympiakos in the second leg to advance to the quarterfinals.  The guys debate though if it was a matter of whether one was that good or the other was that bad.  Also, considering Besiktas advancing, the guys debate how it could affect Besiktas’ league title chances going forward.
