We apologize for this week’s Turkish Football Weekly being late... again. But this time around we have a special episode for you all. The two hosts are actually face to face, which should either make this interesting or this podcast has jumped the shark.
Week 15 results of the Turkish Super League are reviewed. The guys discuss more than their fair share this week. Questions range from is Bursaspor truly a dumpster fire, to Galatasaray’s performance in the derby. They even ask if Galatasaray is out of the title race at this point. Also, the talk about the thriller in Antalya and the performance of Rizespor goalkeeper Charles Itanje.
A few draws for competitions were held. Turkey found out who they will play in June for Euro 2016 (and this sort of seems like déjà vu to a point). Also, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce found out who they will play in the Europa League.
Turkish Cup action wasn’t discussed in detail. At least the guys gave Aydinspor some love on this episode.
As for the news this week, the talk mostly centers on coaching changes. Genclerbirligi sacked Mehmet Ozdilek, and Bursaspor hired Hamza Hamzaoglu this past week.
Finally, our ongoing look into the Turkish Women’s 1st Division continues with the reporting of the week six results.
