We took off last week, but there are a lot of things to catch up on. We may not have gotten everything, but at least we’re getting back into the swing of things before the season begins.
Galatasaray have already begun their European journey. Unfortunately, the first leg of their UEFA Europa League second qualifying round tie didn’t go so well. The match against Ostersunds is briefly reviewed, and the pundits debate the latest in the Wesley Sneijder situation. Also, Galatasaray have sold off defender Semih Kaya to Sparta Prague, and the pundits discuss this move.
While we were away, Besiktas made the major move of the transfer window so far. The signing of Pepe is discussed as well as the sale of Marcelo Guedes. Continuing with Besiktas, Anderson Talisca looks to be holding out for a bump in wages, and the pundits discuss the developments.
The draw for the fixtures for the upcoming season took place earlier this week. The first weekend of the upcoming season is revealed as well as the weeks where the Istanbul big three matches will take place.
The rest of the signings are discussed. Istanbul Basaksehir made some moves. They’ve signed two players, but they have sold off a young starlet for a hefty chunk of change. Moves from Konyaspor, Fenerbahce, Trabzonspor, Kasimpasa and Goztepe, among others, are discussed. A few eye raising moves from some unexpected clubs are also discussed. Galatasaray will have to pay Olcan Adin some money owed to him, as Adin won his case for back wages owed to him. Also, during the recording, there was some news coming over the podcast’s Twitter feed that the pundits discussed as it was happening.
