We’ve already crowned a league champion. Thing is, there’s a few other things that need to be determined.
Week 33 results of the Turkish Super League are reviewed. Besiktas clinches the league title, but there are other things that need to be determined. The relegation dogfight is set to head into the final weekend. Galatasaray makes their case for third place. Akhisar Belediyespor continues their flying end to the season. The final week’s matches get a rundown.
Various matches get reviewed after the league review. The Turkish Cup final seemed to have been a cure for insomnia, but at least one club got to take home their first trophy. The TFF first division promotional playoffs get reviewed, as the two teams playing for the final promotion spot have been determined. Also, the final promotional spot from the TFF second division (or the third tier) got handed out, and teams in the TFF first division might be asking for divine intervention in order for them not to go to a specific area in the winter.
Two news bites are featured this week. The first has to do with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan having a problem with a sports related word. The other point of discussion is a bit more serious. Selcuk Sahin recently tweeted that players are under hot conditions, and the issues surrounding his tweet are debated. It seems that beINSports wants the Super League to be expanded to twenty teams, and the pros and cons of this rumored move are debated.
There’s an upcoming international weekend. The Turkish national team roster for the upcoming international games gets discussed. The usual debate regarding who got picked also occurs.
