Episode 321: A Podcast Bromance

February 3, 2017

This week is the seventh year anniversary of the podcast.  It doesn’t look that it’s been that long but it has.  Podcasts don’t seem to last this long, right?  It also looks like we’re in for a hectic second half of the current season.

Week 19 results of the Turkish Super League are reviewed.  Both Galatasaray and Besiktas got some comfortable wins.  As for Fenerbahce though, it was a week to forget in Kayseri (and that might be an understatement).  Antalyaspor is still on a tear, and Istanbul Basaksehir got a last gasp goal to continue their contention for the league title.  The relegation battle is getting more interesting.

The matchups in the Turkish Cup round of 16 are discussed.  This mostly concerns the Super League teams and whether they will prioritize the cup tournament over the league.

The major moves, as the transfer period is shut, are discussed.  A cult favorite heads back to Besiktas, and Istanbul Basaksehir signs a familiar player.  Bursaspor fills their coaching vacancy, and the pundits discuss the new hire.

The podcast concludes with a discussion on Fenerbahce.  Who’s really to blame for how their season has gone so far?  The guys debate the situation.
